They're Coming To Take Me Away Ha hah...

That's it... I'm certifiable. We've all had songs stuck in our heads at least once. But for the past half hour or so, I've had Carioca as recorded by Martin Denny running through mine.

This wouldn't be so bad as Carioca is a pretty song and Martin Denny and His Orchestra were very good. The problem is... According to All Music he never recorded that song.

So where did this full arrangement that I'm mentally hearing over and over come from? Yes, full arrangement. I hear marimba, piano, bass, maracas, the wood rasp/scraper thing and tropical bird calls. No vocals, just orchestra.

Here you'll find that Track #24 is a clip from the version by the Andrews Sisters. More up tempo than the arrangement I'm "hearing".

All I can figure out is that I must have read one news story too many and my fragile psyche has finally snapped leaving me in the same condition as those running our country.
