Island DIY: Kauai residents don't wait for state to repair road

And they saved the state $4 Million in the process by doing it all for free and in only eight days! Gee, people helping themselves... while doing it cheaper and faster than the government. I love it!

Island DIY: Kauai residents don't wait for state to repair road - CNN.com: "Their livelihood was being threatened, and they were tired of waiting for government help, so business owners and residents on Hawaii's Kauai island pulled together and completed a $4 million repair job to a state park -- for free."

So Where Is the U.S. Congressional Blonde Caucus?

U.S. lawmakers meet with Fidel Castro - CNN.com: "Fidel Castro, the longtime communist leader of Cuba, met with visiting members of the U.S. Congressional Black Caucus..."

I keep hearing about how we all need to look beyond skin color, blah, blah blah. So why does Congress have a "Black Caucus"? Why not a Blonde Caucus? Where is the Brown Caucus? How about a Congressional Eyeglass Wearer's Caucus? Oh! I know... How about forming an U.S. Congressional Honest Politician Caucus?

Never mind, I doubt we could even find ONE.

Hmm sounds like a motorcycle to me

GM and Segway have teamed up to make a low cost two wheeled vehicle. "A solution to the world's urban transportation problems could lie in two wheels not four, according to executives for General Motors Corp. and Segway Inc."

reviewjournal.com -- Associated Press News: "The companies did not release a projected cost for the vehicle, but said ideally its total operating cost - including purchase price, insurance, maintenance and fuel - would total between one-fourth and one-third of that of the average traditional vehicle."
